  • ¿Por qué elegir Mastatest?

    Mastatest es una herramienta de diagnóstico de mastitis fácil de usar que le ayuda a tomar decisiones informadas sobre la gestión de la mastitis.
    Al automatizar el proceso de diagnóstico, el sistema Mastatest elimina todas las molestias del análisis de la leche. No hay necesidad de transporte, los resultados se envían directamente a su bandeja de entrada en 24 horas.
    Mastatest le proporciona toda la información que necesita para tomar decisiones seguras para cada vaca. Los resultados le indican si hay o no bacterias, qué especies de bacterias hay y cuál es su sensibilidad a los antibióticos analizados.
    Con estos resultados exhaustivos para cada vaca analizada, puede identificar a las vacas que no necesitan tratamiento antibiótico y mejorar las tasas de curación de las que sí lo necesitan dirigiendo el tratamiento. Esto reduce el tiempo que las vacas pasan fuera del rebaño y la cantidad de leche desechada. Los datos históricos de cada vaca y del rebaño en su conjunto también permiten tomar decisiones más informadas sobre la gestión del rebaño.

  • ¿Cómo funciona Mastatest?

    Mastatest utiliza tecnología ocular electrónica para detectar automáticamente los cambios de color causados por las especies bacterianas presentes en la muestra de leche.
    Todo lo que hay que hacer es recoger una muestra de leche, rellenar un casete y realizar la prueba. El analizador hace el resto.
    Los datos recogidos por el analizador son analizados e interpretados automáticamente por un algoritmo en una nube, y los resultados se envían a su bandeja de entrada en 24 horas, además de ser accesibles a través de una plataforma web específica.
  • ¿Qué información proporciona el resultado de un análisis?

    Para las pruebas realizadas en un casete clínico, recibirá información sobre :
    - La presencia (o ausencia) de bacterias.
    - Las especies bacterianas presentes. Las especies identificadas son : Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus spp, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus coagulasa negativo (Staphylococcus nonaureus) en el caso de bacterias Gram positivas; E coli/bacterias coliformes y Klebsiella/Serratia en el caso de bacterias Gram negativas. 
    - Una evaluación de la concentración inhibitoria mínima (CIM) de seis antibióticos clave: bencilpenicilina, cloxacilina, tilosina, ampicilina, cefapirina y oxitetraciclina en el caso de la sensibilidad y los resultados muestran resistencia si ningún antibiótico tiene un efecto inhibitorio sobre el crecimiento bacteriano.
  • ¿Cuáles son los requisitos previos para realizar un análisis con Mastatest?

    Todo lo que necesita para operar el sistema Mastatest es :
    - Una conexión WiFi o ethernet (al menos - 65dBm de intensidad de señal - que se muestra en la pantalla),
    - Una conexión eléctrica estándar,
    - Un frigorífico para guardar los casetes,
    La instalación inicial se realiza en pocos minutos, gracias a las sencillas instrucciones suministradas con el Lapbox™.
    Vetoquinol le apoyará a lo largo de este proceso y le preparará para procesar sus primeras muestras con un responsable de instalación y soporte informático.
  • ¿Necesito formación para utilizar el sistema Mastatest?

    En cuanto a la realización de una prueba, es tan sencilla que cualquiera puede hacerla, independientemente de su cualificación o formación.
    En cuanto a la interpretación de los resultados, debe hacerla el veterinario para recomendar el tratamiento adecuado.
    No obstante, recomendamos que todo el personal que tome una muestra de leche reciba formación sobre este procedimiento.
  • ¿Cómo se realiza un análisis?

    1. Existen dos métodos para lanzar un análisis.
      El paso esencial, sea cual sea el método que utilice, es el siguiente: Utilice la plataforma para crear la cuenta de cliente (operación) a la que se vinculará el análisis.
      Primer método: Lanzar un análisis desde el analizador
      1) Vaya al menú Mastatest.
      2) Vaya a Lanzar Mastatest.
      3) Seleccione la ubicación deseada.
      4) Introduzca la información relativa a la vaca (número de vaca y trimestre).
      5) Confirme la información e inicie la prueba.
      6) Introduzca el casete con la muestra de leche en el lugar seleccionado anteriormente.
      7) Acceda a la plataforma y realice la prueba en el lugar en cuestión asignando la muestra a una explotación.
      Segundo método: Realizar una prueba desde la plataforma
      1) Acceda al menú Mastatest desde el analizador.
      2) Seleccionar lanzamiento web (de este modo se iniciará la prueba sin personalizar el número de la vaca y el cuarto del que se toma la muestra de leche).
      3) Introduzca el casete lleno de su muestra de leche en el lugar que haya seleccionado anteriormente.
      4) Acceda a la plataforma.
      5) Realice un análisis en el lugar en cuestión introduciendo la información sobre la vaca (número de vaca y cuarto) y asignando el análisis a una explotación.
      Nota: Para ambos métodos, puede utilizar primero el analizador o la plataforma. Puede haber un retraso de unos 10 minutos (o incluso 15 minutos, dependiendo de la calidad de su conexión a Internet) entre el lanzamiento del análisis en la plataforma o en el analizador y el algoritmo que debe interpretar los resultados teniéndolo en cuenta.
  • ¿Cómo puedo obtener los resultados de una prueba?

    Hay dos formas sencillas de acceder a los resultados de Mastatest.
    Por correo electrónico: Recibirá los resultados de Mastatest en su buzón de correo electrónico. Puede añadir varias direcciones de correo electrónico al sistema, para que todas las personas implicadas en el proceso de toma de decisiones reciban una copia.
    Interfaz web de Mastatest: Usted y su equipo pueden acceder a los resultados de Mastatest directamente en la consola de datos, a través de la página web. La consola de datos contiene los resultados históricos de su rebaño, lo que le permite revisar los resultados anteriores de cada vaca antes de tomar decisiones sobre la gestión de la mastitis.
  • ¿Cuánto tiempo se tarda en obtener los resultados?

    El sistema Mastatest proporciona resultados digitales de vuelta a su bandeja de entrada dentro de las 24 horas de iniciar una prueba Lapbox.

  • ¿Puede utilizarse Mastatest en vacas que padecen mastitis clínica?

    Sí, Mastatest puede utilizarse para analizar muestras de vacas con mastitis clínica.
    Utilice el casete clínico para la mastitis clínica. Después de tomar una muestra de leche de la vaca afectada, simplemente llene el casete, colóquelo en el analizador y realice la prueba.
    En menos de 24 horas, tendrá información sobre la presencia o no de bacterias en la muestra, su tipo: E. coli, Klebsiella, Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus species, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus coagulasa negativo (Staphylococcus non-aureus) y otras bacterias Gram positivas, y la sensibilidad de las bacterias a diferentes antibióticos.
    La selección de antibióticos incluirá: bencilpenicilina, cloxacilina, tilosina, ampicilina, cefapirina y oxitetraciclina.
    Al realizar pruebas sistemáticas a las vacas con mastitis clínica, se asegura de que tiene toda la información que necesita para informar sobre el manejo de la mastitis. En última instancia, esto debería conducir a la mejora de las tasas de curación, la reducción del tiempo fuera del rebaño para las vacas afectadas y la mejora de la productividad de la leche.

  • Si se cae Internet, ¿se seguirá sincronizando? ¿Cuánto tiempo se tarda en perder el análisis?

    No hay sincronización, pero el ciclo de prueba debería seguir descargando imágenes una vez que la conexión a Internet vuelva a funcionar. Si faltan 2 o 3 horas, esto no suele ser un problema, a menos que se trate de las últimas 4 horas del ciclo de prueba.
    También depende de cuándo se interrumpa el ciclo. Si el análisis ha enviado una imagen inicial y las dos últimas imágenes, será posible evaluar la prueba. Sin embargo, si la interrupción se produce, por ejemplo, en las últimas 12 horas, se envía una notificación indicando que se necesitan más imágenes antes de poder evaluar la prueba. Se proporcionan instrucciones al cliente final.
  • ¿Es seguro no administrar antibióticos a la vaca mientras se esperan los resultados de las pruebas?

    Los estudios han demostrado que esperar 24 horas para confirmar la presencia (y la especie) de bacterias en una muestra de leche antes de tratar con antibióticos es una medida adecuada para la mayoría de las vacas con mamitis leves a moderadas.
     
    Hasta un 25% de las vacas pueden tener mastitis sin causa bacteriana, que deberían curarse sin tratamiento adicional. Mastatest puede identificar estas vacas por usted.
     
    Hasta un 25% de las vacas con bacterias gram-negativas como E. coli en la leche no requieren tratamiento antibiótico.
     
    En el caso de una vaca que tenga una mastitis severa y esté gravemente enferma, el tratamiento antibiótico debe iniciarse inmediatamente y puede adaptarse una vez que se reciban los resultados de la bacteriología.
  • ¿Cuántos lapbox necesito para mi explotación?

    El número de analizadores que necesite dependerá de la tasa de mamitis de la granja y, por tanto, del número de muestras que probablemente tome en un intervalo de 24 horas.
    Cada Lapbox puede procesar hasta cuatro muestras a la vez, es decir, 365x4 = 1460 muestras al año.
    Una regla simple es que un Lapbox debe ser capaz de analizar muestras de leche de un rebaño de alrededor de 1500 vacas.
  • ¿Qué significa n/a en términos de resultados del antibiograma?

    Es probable que los resultados de las pruebas de susceptibilidad a los antibióticos muestren ""n/a"" en los siguientes casos:
    - la muestra tomada es estéril
    - la muestra contiene dos o más gérmenes (en caso de policontaminación, por ejemplo).
    La indicación ""n/a"" significa simplemente que los resultados del antibiograma no pueden utilizarse.
    En el caso de una muestra estéril, las seis moléculas -bencilpenicilina, cloxacilina, tilosina, ampicilina, cefapirina y oxitetraciclina- no tendrán ningún efecto, ya que no se han detectado gérmenes en la muestra de leche utilizada para el análisis bacteriológico.
    Como el analizador no puede cuantificar una población bacteriana mayoritaria en comparación con otra, los efectos potenciales de los seis antibióticos diferentes no pueden asignarse a una de las dos bacterias en el caso de una muestra que contenga dos gérmenes. Lo mismo ocurre en el caso de una muestra policontaminada que contenga 3 o más gérmenes.
